Mary Shambo, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner and founder of Align Aesthetics & Wellness in Vero Beach, Florida. With more than 20 years in nursing and 18+ years in aesthetic medicine, Mary brings extensive clinical experience in advanced injectables, facial balancing, regenerative aesthetics, laser and energy-based technologies, and individualized treatment planning.
Mary’s path to aesthetic medicine began with an interesting combination of art and science. An artist at heart, she was offered an art scholarship after high school but ultimately chose to pursue nursing. She began her clinical career in neonatal intensive care before entering medical aesthetics in 2005, discovering a field where her clinical training, attention to detail, and creative eye could work together.
Over the years, Mary progressed from aesthetic nurse injector to nurse practitioner and clinical operations leader at a high-volume Allergan Black Diamond medical aesthetics practice in Southern California. There, she performed advanced aesthetic treatments, built long-term patient relationships, and trained and mentored other providers in injectable techniques, consultation, patient safety, and treatment planning. She later founded her own practices, including Align Aesthetics & Wellness in Vero Beach in 2021.

Mary founded Align Aesthetics & Wellness in Vero Beach to create a practice centered on thoughtful, individualized care rather than a one-size-fits-all approach to aesthetics. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience in aesthetic medicine, she wanted to bring together advanced treatments, clinical expertise, and long-term treatment planning in an environment where patients feel heard, educated, and confident in their care.
Her approach is conservative and anatomy-driven, with an emphasis on preserving each patient’s unique features and creating results that feel natural, balanced, and maintainable. For Mary, exceptional aesthetic medicine isn’t about chasing trends—it’s about understanding the patient, respecting the aging process, and choosing the right combination of treatments for their individual goals.
